Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic state goals.
- Direct cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and external vendors, to deliver high-quality software and infrastructure solutions.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, while implementing contingency plans to maintain project momentum.
- Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, providing clear progress reports and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure strict compliance with state procurement laws, IT governance policies, and security standards.
- Drive the adoption of Agile/Scrum methodologies to improve team productivity and delivery velocity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT project management, specifically within the public sector or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong technical aptitude with experience managing full-stack development projects or major system migrations.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, and Confluence.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and navigate complex organizational structures.
