Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise cybersecurity initiatives including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management
- Design and implement secure network architectures for classified and unclassified systems
- Collaborate with federal agencies to develop unified security protocols across critical infrastructure
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for emerging cyber threats
- Mentor junior IT specialists and conduct advanced technical training sessions
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations including FISMA, NIST, and CMMC standards
- Manage vendor relationships for cybersecurity tools and services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience with 3+ years in cybersecurity or federal IT systems
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8570 compliance)
- Expertise in network security tools (e.g., Splunk, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike)
- Familiarity with federal IT frameworks including FedRAMP and CMMC
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Proven experience leading cross-functional technical teams
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
