Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot complex IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, and cloud environments.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, such as the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and NIST standards.
- Lead the design and implementation of cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive federal data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade legacy systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff and support analysts.
- Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments to mitigate potential security threats.
- Prepare technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams and incident reports.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Required for all federal positions (unless otherwise noted).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: At least 5 years of specialized experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or cybersecurity.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Skills: Proficiency in Python, Linux administration, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for briefing stakeholders.
