Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the integrity of state-level network infrastructure and data systems.
- Implement and enforce strict cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards.
- Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and performance tuning.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for government staff and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable IT solutions.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate system records.
- Train junior staff and ensure adherence to federal and state IT policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration or a similar role within the public sector.
- Certification: CISSP, Security+, or equivalent advanced technical certification.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Strong experience with government compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
