Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the City's core IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive government data, adhering to federal and state regulations.
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-departmental IT initiatives, from planning to deployment, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation and create standard operating procedures for IT operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration, networking, or cybersecurity within a government or large-scale enterprise environment.
- Certifications: Active certification such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or Cisco CCNP is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network protocols, cloud technologies (AWS/Azure), and virtualization platforms.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical personnel.
