Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of critical state IT systems and databases.
- Analyze system performance data to optimize processes and ensure high availability for internal users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new software solutions and security protocols.
- Manage and secure sensitive data related to state operations and pension administration.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff and end-users.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal IT policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT system administration or a related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server management, and database systems.
- Experience with government IT frameworks or public sector projects is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
