Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor critical IT systems and networks during weekend shifts to ensure 99.9% uptime and operational continuity.
- Respond to and resolve high-priority technical tickets and service requests using ITIL service management frameworks.
- Perform routine system backups, security patches, and database maintenance to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement weekend maintenance windows and minimize service disruptions.
- Document all technical procedures, incident reports, and change logs in the centralized knowledge base.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior staff and ensure adherence to state and federal IT regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent technical certifications).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or a related technical role.
- Experience working in a government or large-scale enterprise environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, SQL, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently during off-hours.
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and be willing to travel to government facilities when required.
- Clearance to obtain a State of California Level II Background Check.
