Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other computer systems.
- Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and data.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues across multiple departments.
- Manage server virtualization environments and ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and design scalable IT solutions.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, preferably within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are strongly desired.
- Proven experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
