Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex server infrastructure, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Configure and manage network devices, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure robust cybersecurity.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal government applications and hardware.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive maintenance strategies to prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve operational workflows.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration, network engineering, or a related IT role.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, virtualization technologies (VMware), and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain a federal background clearance and adhere to strict government security protocols.
