Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization environments, and network systems.
- Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Enforce strict data security protocols and compliance with state and federal regulations (GDPR/TCI).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy applications and integrate cloud solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior administrators and IT staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Systems Administration or Network Engineering.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with SQL Server databases and backup/recovery solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, public sector environment.
