Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and software solutions to support county operations.
- Conduct thorough requirements gathering and translate business needs into detailed technical specifications.
- Develop, test, and deploy code for web applications, databases, and internal tools using modern frameworks.
- Ensure all systems adhere to strict security protocols, data privacy regulations, and government standards.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior analysts and developers on the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project lifecycles from initiation through delivery.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues in a high-stakes environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT consulting.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# and experience with SQL databases.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Demonstrated experience working in a government or highly regulated industry setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
