Role Overview:
As a Senior IT Systems Analyst, you will be the technical lead responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure. You will work closely with federal agencies to ensure compliance with strict regulatory standards while optimizing system performance for city operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and infrastructure projects.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot critical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for government services.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local cybersecurity regulations and data privacy laws.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies.
- Train junior staff and provide technical guidance on best practices for system administration.
- Prepare detailed documentation for system architecture, processes, and user manuals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, architecture, or a related IT discipline.
- Experience working with government or public sector entities is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and virtualization technologies.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or PMP are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance (if applicable) and pass a background investigation.
