Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and network infrastructure to support state agency operations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local cybersecurity standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and provide scalable solutions.
- Perform system troubleshooting, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate risks.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems analysis, network engineering, or systems administration within the public sector or a similar complex environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data center operations is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of managing IT projects and adhering to strict security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
