As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the architecture, design, and implementation of our enterprise software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of analysts, project managers, and subject matter experts to deliver innovative solutions that streamline tax administration.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Java-based enterprise applications using modern frameworks and best practices.
- Lead architectural decisions and perform code reviews to ensure high quality, security, and scalability of our systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical specifications.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve critical technical issues and system bottlenecks.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database design principles (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary government security clearances.
