Responsibilities
- Manage official city council meeting documentation including minutes, agendas, and resolutions
- Oversee public records requests with strict adherence to North Carolina open records laws
- Coordinate municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Maintain digital and physical archives with advanced indexing systems
- Lead cross-departmental administrative workflow optimization projects
- Train junior clerks on municipal protocols and document management
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and mayoral office
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years municipal or government administrative experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software
- Notary Public certification (NC)
- Expert knowledge of North Carolina municipal statutes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience managing confidential information
