As a Senior Worker, you will be the face of our parks, ensuring they remain pristine and welcoming for residents and tourists alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily landscaping, mowing, and grounds maintenance to ensure parks meet high aesthetic standards.
- Maintain and repair park facilities, including playground equipment, restrooms, and picnic shelters.
- Monitor park areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and address hazards immediately.
- Assist in the planning, setup, and breakdown of community events and recreational programs.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and equipment, initiating reorders as necessary.
- Interact with the public and community groups to answer inquiries and promote park programs.
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree in Horticulture or Recreation Management is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in park maintenance, landscaping, or facility management.
- Valid Class C Louisiana Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong knowledge of horticultural practices, pest control, and irrigation systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence.
