Responsibilities
- Design and oversee premium recreational programs (fitness classes, sports leagues, cultural events) for 5,000+ monthly participants
- Manage $500K+ annual budgets for facility maintenance and program development
- Lead cross-functional teams of seasonal staff and volunteers across 12+ park sites
- Implement innovative sustainability initiatives in 2,000+ acres of parkland
- Develop strategic partnerships with local businesses and community organizations
- Conduct facility audits and ensure ADA compliance across all recreational sites
- Utilize data analytics to optimize program attendance and community engagement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Parks & Recreation, Environmental Science, or related field
- 5+ years progressive experience in municipal park systems or large-scale recreation management
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications
- Proven expertise in budget management and grant writing ($250K+ experience preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of NC safety regulations and risk management protocols
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., ActiveNet) and GIS mapping software
- Strong conflict resolution and community engagement skills
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
