Responsibilities
- Strategic oversight of 15+ parks, golf courses, and recreational facilities
- Development and management of $2M+ annual recreational program budgets
- Supervision of 50+ staff including coordinators, maintenance teams, and seasonal workers
- Implementation of ADA-compliant accessibility initiatives across all facilities
- Partnership development with local businesses and non-profit organizations
- Coordination of special events serving 50,000+ annual attendees
- Compliance with NM state environmental and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Environmental Science, or related field
- 5+ years progressive experience in parks/recreational facility management
- Valid New Mexico Class G driver's license with clean record
- Certification in CPR/First Aid and Risk Management (or willingness to obtain)
- Advanced proficiency in budgetary planning and grant writing
- Demonstrated experience in staff training and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of NM water conservation and sustainable landscaping practices
