Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative recreational programs for diverse age groups
- Oversee park maintenance operations including landscaping and facility management
- Coordinate special events serving 500+ attendees with flawless execution
- Manage volunteer programs and community engagement initiatives
- Ensure ADA compliance and safety standards across all facilities
- Develop grant proposals for recreational infrastructure projects
- Lead cross-departmental collaborations for community wellness initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Environmental Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in parks/recreation management
- CPRP (Certified Parks and Recreation Professional) certification preferred
- Proven budget management for projects exceeding $500K
- Strong knowledge of California recreational safety regulations
- Experience supervising teams of 10+ personnel
- Excellent conflict resolution and stakeholder communication skills
- Valid California Class C driver's license
