Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end processing of pension and retirement benefit applications for state employees.
- Ensure strict adherence to state regulations and internal pension plan policies.
- Conduct detailed audits of retirement records and benefit calculations.
- Provide expert guidance and support to beneficiaries and retirees regarding pension inquiries.
- Collaborate with the Department of Administrative Services and HR teams to streamline benefits administration.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on pension fund status and employee participation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, public sector benefits, or actuarial science.
- Deep knowledge of Ohio Revised Code regarding state retirement systems.
- Proficiency in HRIS software (e.g., SAP, Workday) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
