Responsibilities
- Analyze complex pension fund data and regulatory compliance reports
- Develop strategic recommendations for multi-billion dollar public pension portfolios
- Collaborate with investment committees on risk management protocols
- Conduct forensic audits of pension plan operations and vendor contracts
- Prepare comprehensive briefings for legislative stakeholders and agency leadership
- Lead cross-functional projects on retirement system modernization
- Ensure adherence to ERISA, GASB, and NY State pension regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of pension fund administration or regulatory compliance experience
- Certified Public Pension Administrator (CPPA) or CFA designation preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and pension administration software
- Demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis and financial modeling
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Knowledge of NY State pension systems (ERS, PFRS) and regulations
