Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic policies addressing London's most pressing urban challenges
- Lead cross-departmental research initiatives using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Prepare high-impact briefings for the Mayor and senior decision-makers
- Stakeholder engagement with borough councils, private sector partners, and community groups
- Monitor policy implementation effectiveness through KPI analysis and reporting
- Represent the GLA at national forums on metropolitan governance best practices
- Mentor junior policy analysts and oversee research quality assurance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in local/national government policy development
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proven track record of delivering policy recommendations to senior leadership
- Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building skills
- Deep understanding of London's governance structures and challenges
- Exceptional written communication with ability to produce complex policy documents
- Eligibility for UK security clearance (Basic)
