Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate comprehensive health policies aligned with DC Health's strategic priorities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts for public health initiatives
- Lead stakeholder engagement with community organizations, healthcare providers, and federal partners
- Prepare detailed policy briefs, reports, and testimony for legislative bodies
- Monitor emerging public health trends and recommend adaptive policy solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on health equity and accessibility programs
- Manage policy implementation evaluation frameworks and continuous improvement processes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, or related field (required)
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or healthcare sector
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful health policies
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare complex reports
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local healthcare systems
- Experience with stakeholder management and community engagement
