Responsibilities
- Lead cross-departmental policy research and analysis for 3+ high-priority initiatives
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for City Council approval processes
- Design and implement data visualization dashboards for real-time policy tracking
- Coordinate with federal agencies on DC-state collaborative programs
- Present findings to senior leadership and stakeholder coalitions
- Maintain compliance with District of Columbia Administrative Procedure Act
- Oversee junior analysts and interns in policy development workflows
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in municipal/government settings
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, Stata) and GIS tools
- Proven track record of implementing policy recommendations with measurable outcomes
- Deep knowledge of DC's charter code and federal intergovernmental frameworks
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional written communication with 20+ published policy briefs
