Responsibilities
- Formulate evidence-based economic policy recommendations for UK Treasury priorities
- Lead cross-functional projects with HMRC, ONS, and Bank of England
- Analyze complex fiscal data to inform strategic decision-making
- Represent Treasury at national stakeholder engagement events
- Mentor junior policy officers on quantitative analysis methodologies
- Monitor international economic trends impacting UK fiscal policy
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in government/financial policy roles
- Advanced proficiency in economic modeling software (Stata/R)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Security clearance eligibility (SC level)
- Proven track record of delivering policy recommendations to ministers
- Experience with public sector budget frameworks
