Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive policy analysis for immigration, security, and counter-terrorism initiatives
- Develop and evaluate policy options using quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Prepare ministerial briefings and impact assessments for parliamentary scrutiny
- Coordinate interdepartmental working groups to ensure policy coherence
- Monitor international policy trends and recommend strategic adaptations
- Manage complex stakeholder engagement including NGOs and international partners
- Maintain rigorous compliance with Equality Act and Public Sector Equality Duty
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Public Policy, International Relations, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in government policy development or advisory role
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative analysis with advanced Excel/SPSS skills
- Demonstrated experience preparing ministerial submissions and parliamentary papers
- In-depth knowledge of UK governance structures and legislative processes
- Security clearance eligibility (SC level required)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts
- Proven project management of multi-stakeholder initiatives
