Responsibilities
- Research and analyze state legislation, regulations, and policy trends
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations
- Collaborate with agency directors and legislative stakeholders
- Manage public comment periods and stakeholder engagement processes
- Prepare testimony for legislative hearings and public forums
- Monitor implementation of enacted policies and assess outcomes
- Lead cross-functional project teams on priority initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization
- Demonstrated experience with NC legislative processes
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance
