Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex state policy issues across healthcare, education, and economic development sectors
- Develop actionable policy recommendations using quantitative data and stakeholder input
- Prepare comprehensive reports and briefings for legislative leadership and agency directors
- Coordinate interdepartmental policy implementation and compliance monitoring
- Represent the state in policy forums and public consultations
- Monitor federal regulatory changes and assess state adaptation requirements
- Mentor junior analysts on policy research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Stata)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Deep understanding of Oklahoma's legislative and administrative processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license and ability to travel statewide
