Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations addressing housing, transportation, and sustainability challenges
- Analyze legislative impacts and regulatory compliance for municipal initiatives
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community groups and industry partners
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and presentations for City Council review
- Manage interdepartmental task forces to implement strategic city plans
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using GIS data and public datasets
- Monitor emerging policy trends and best practices nationwide
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing municipal policies
- Expertise in stakeholder management and public communication
- Knowledge of Colorado state regulations and Denver municipal code
- Ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities
- Valid Colorado driver's license (required for field visits)
