Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations addressing urban growth challenges and community needs
- Analyze legislative impacts and regulatory compliance for city initiatives
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community groups, nonprofits, and private sector partners
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for City Council and executive leadership
- Monitor policy implementation outcomes and recommend adaptive strategies
- Coordinate interdepartmental projects to ensure cohesive policy execution
- Stay current on federal/state regulations affecting local government operations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R) and statistical modeling
- Deep knowledge of Georgia municipal governance structures and regulations
- Proven track record of translating complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under tight deadlines
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background clearance
