Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex urban policy issues related to transportation, housing, and economic development
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations and implementation strategies for city council
- Prepare comprehensive reports, briefings, and legislative testimony for government stakeholders
- Coordinate interdepartmental policy initiatives and stakeholder engagement activities
- Monitor federal/state legislative changes affecting municipal operations
- Lead public outreach campaigns to gather resident feedback on policy proposals
- Manage policy budgets and grant applications for community programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of government or public sector policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Expert knowledge of Dallas municipal operations and Texas state regulations
- Proven track record of developing successful policy initiatives
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Professional certification (e.g., CPPP, ICMA) preferred
