Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulatory impacts for agency leadership
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations through quantitative and qualitative research
- Prepare comprehensive briefing documents for legislative committees and executive stakeholders
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces to address cross-cutting policy challenges
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess implications for Ohio state operations
- Present findings to public officials through clear, concise written and verbal communications
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (R, SPSS, or Stata)
- Demonstrated success in developing legislative proposals and impact assessments
- Ohio state government knowledge preferred
- Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities
- Valid Ohio driver's license required for occasional travel
