Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft comprehensive legislative proposals
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced statistical methodologies
- Collaborate with state agencies and legislative bodies on policy implementation
- Present findings to senior officials through written reports and oral presentations
- Monitor federal regulations and assess impacts on state programs
- Develop policy recommendations aligned with state strategic goals
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, Python)
- Proven ability to interpret complex legislative and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- NY State residency required within 90 days of hire
