Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues affecting New York State residents
- Develop legislative proposals and policy recommendations for state agencies
- Prepare comprehensive reports and briefings for senior government officials
- Coordinate with stakeholders including community organizations and industry partners
- Monitor implementation and evaluate effectiveness of existing policies
- Testify before legislative committees on policy impacts
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or similar)
- New York State residency required at time of appointment
- Valid driver's license (position may require statewide travel)
