Responsibilities
- Develop and implement statewide IT policy frameworks aligned with federal regulations
- Analyze emerging technology trends and assess implications for state operations
- Collaborate with 20+ state agencies on digital modernization initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with public/private sector partners
- Manage compliance with cybersecurity and data privacy standards
- Mentor junior analysts on policy development best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in government IT policy or regulatory affairs
- Deep knowledge of Texas Government Code Chapter 2054
- Expertise in cloud migration frameworks and cybersecurity protocols
- Proven ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Active Texas Notary Public commission (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in policy analysis software and data visualization tools
