Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft actionable recommendations for state agencies
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using economic modeling and data analytics
- Collaborate with legislators, stakeholders, and community partners to implement policy solutions
- Monitor federal/state legislation and assess impacts on Colorado's programs
- Present findings to executive leadership through clear reports and presentations
- Lead cross-functional projects addressing healthcare, education, or environmental policy
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and ethical standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative analysis (SPSS, R, or SAS) and policy modeling
- Proven track record of developing evidence-based recommendations
- Deep understanding of Colorado state government operations
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under tight deadlines
- Active Colorado driver's license and ability to travel statewide
