Responsibilities
- Lead research and data analysis to inform citywide policy initiatives
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations aligned with Seattle's strategic goals
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement with community groups, nonprofits, and private sector partners
- Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on local government operations
- Prepare concise policy briefs and reports for executive leadership
- Coordinate interdepartmental implementation of new policies
- Present findings to City Council committees and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proven ability to navigate complex governmental processes
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with community engagement and participatory decision-making
- Valid Washington State driver's license
