Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and recommend data-driven solutions for county departments
- Research and draft legislation, reports, and executive communications
- Coordinate with stakeholders including community leaders and state agencies
- Lead cross-functional projects on public health, equity, and economic development
- Present findings to County Board committees and senior leadership
- Monitor federal/state policy changes and assess local impact
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government or public sector policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Demonstrated success in developing equity-focused policy recommendations
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with complex audiences
- Knowledge of Illinois state government operations
- Valid Illinois driver's license required
