Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues impacting Boston communities
- Develop actionable recommendations for county leadership and stakeholders
- Prepare clear, data-driven policy briefs and legislative testimony
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives to implement policy changes
- Monitor federal/state legislation and assess local implications
- Engage with residents, community groups, and partner organizations
- Lead special projects addressing emerging urban challenges
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofits
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Deep knowledge of Massachusetts municipal governance structures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Experience with public budgeting and fiscal analysis
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license required
