Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state policies and legislative impacts using quantitative/qualitative research methods
- Develop actionable policy recommendations for executive leadership and legislative bodies
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to align policy objectives with operational goals
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs, reports, and public-facing communications
- Monitor policy implementation outcomes and adjust strategies based on performance metrics
- Represent the department in intergovernmental committees and stakeholder forums
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee policy research projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and data visualization
- Proficiency with policy analysis software (e.g., SAS, R, Stata) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to diverse audiences
- Knowledge of Nevada state government operations and legislative processes
- Valid Nevada driver's license and ability to travel statewide
