Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging urban policy trends, legislative impacts, and socioeconomic data to inform strategic recommendations
- Develop comprehensive policy frameworks addressing housing equity, climate resilience, and economic inclusion
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community groups, nonprofits, and interagency partners
- Prepare detailed policy briefs, legislative testimony, and implementation roadmaps for executive leadership
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes and assess municipal compliance requirements
- Manage policy implementation projects with cross-functional teams and track KPI progress
- Present findings to City Council committees and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in municipal, state, or federal government
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and statistical analysis tools
- Demonstrated success in developing policies addressing social equity or climate resilience
- Proficiency with GIS mapping, SPSS, or comparable data visualization platforms
- Superior written/verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license (required for field site visits)
