- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and disbursements
- Ensure compliance with CalPERS regulations and IRS guidelines
- Develop retirement education workshops for active employees
- Manage pension fund investments and actuarial reporting
- Collaborate with auditors during annual compliance reviews
- Maintain accurate participant records in pension administration systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years pension plan administration experience
- CalPERS certification or equivalent retirement credentials
- Proficiency in pension software systems (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Strong analytical skills for benefit calculations
- Government compliance knowledge (ERISA, IRS 401(a), etc.)
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
