Responsibilities
- Analyze state legislation, regulations, and policy trends to develop actionable recommendations
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using statistical software and public datasets
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for state officials
- Coordinate cross-agency task forces to address emerging public challenges
- Monitor implementation of existing policies and evaluate effectiveness
- Present findings to legislative committees and stakeholder groups
- Lead special projects on equity-focused policy initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Demonstrated experience with Oregon legislative processes
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- Experience with equity impact assessments
- Knowledge of state budget processes
