Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy proposals and recommend evidence-based solutions to City Council
- Collaborate with 15+ municipal departments to implement strategic initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for public hearings
- Monitor budget allocations and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead cross-functional teams during public health and infrastructure projects
- Develop performance metrics to evaluate policy effectiveness
- Represent the City at regional policy forums and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of government or public sector experience
- Advanced knowledge of municipal governance frameworks
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, R, or Python)
- Strong writing skills demonstrated through published policy papers
- Texas driver's license and ability to work occasional evenings
- Master's degree preferred for senior-level positions
