Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks for compliance with Georgia state statutes
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and implementation roadmaps for cabinet-level review
- Collaborate with 15+ state agencies to align strategic priorities and resource allocation
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with local governments and community organizations
- Monitor federal legislative developments and assess impacts on Georgia's policy landscape
- Prepare testimony for legislative hearings and executive branch briefings
- Manage policy research budgets and vendor contracts for data acquisition
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and statistical analysis
- Proficiency with policy simulation tools (e.g., Stata, R) and GIS mapping software
- Valid Georgia driver's license and ability to travel statewide (up to 25%)
- Clear federal background investigation and eligibility for public trust clearance
