Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze healthcare policy proposals aligned with federal objectives and Illinois state priorities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to evaluate program effectiveness and compliance
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for congressional stakeholders and agency leadership
- Coordinate with state and local health departments in Illinois to ensure policy implementation
- Monitor legislative developments and regulatory changes affecting healthcare delivery systems
- Mentor junior analysts and provide subject matter expertise on healthcare policy frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in federal or state healthcare policy analysis
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R) and policy modeling software
- Demonstrated knowledge of Affordable Care Act and Medicare/Medicaid regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
- Active security clearance eligibility (ability to obtain Public Trust clearance)
- Experience working with Illinois healthcare systems and state agencies preferred
