Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for city council and mayor's office
- Analyze complex urban issues including housing, transportation, and economic development
- Conduct stakeholder outreach and facilitate community engagement sessions
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative impact statements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on citywide initiatives
- Monitor policy implementation and recommend adjustments
- Present findings to elected officials and senior leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of California state regulations and SF municipal codes
- Experience with budget analysis and fiscal impact assessment
- Valid California driver's license
