Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislative proposals and regulatory impacts using advanced data modeling
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and implementation roadmaps for executive leadership
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces to address cross-agency challenges
- Present findings to legislative committees and stakeholder coalitions
- Monitor federal policy changes and recommend state-level adaptations
- Mentor junior analysts on policy research methodologies
- Manage $2M+ grant programs aligned with state strategic priorities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, SAS)
- Demonstrated success in developing bipartisan policy recommendations
- Valid Indiana driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Superior written/verbal communication skills with executive audiences
- Professional certification in public policy management (PPM preferred)
- Clear background check and ability to obtain security clearance
