Responsibilities
- Analyze complex economic data and trends to inform policy recommendations for business attraction and workforce development
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including local governments, industry leaders, and federal partners
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative committees and executive leadership
- Monitor implementation of economic development initiatives and measure impact against strategic goals
- Lead cross-functional teams to design and execute grant programs supporting community revitalization
- Conduct policy research and comparative analysis with other state economic models
- Represent the department at public forums, conferences, and legislative hearings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field (Bachelor's with 5+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 4 years of policy analysis experience in government or economic development sector
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis software
- Demonstrated success in developing and presenting policy recommendations to senior leadership
- Deep understanding of Tennessee's economic landscape and regulatory environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced setting
