Responsibilities
- Analyze complex urban policies and legislative impacts using quantitative and qualitative methods
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for City Council and executive leadership
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives on housing affordability and climate resilience
- Prepare comprehensive reports and public presentations for diverse stakeholders
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and lead collaborative policy workshops
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (5+ years experience)
- 3+ years in government or public sector policy analysis
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, SPSS)
- Experience with budget forecasting and fiscal impact modeling
- Deep knowledge of Texas municipal governance structures
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
- Valid Texas driver's license
